How to play

The goal

Every day there is one hole for everyone: a starting article and a target article from the English Wikipedia. Reach the target in as few clicks as possible. Every article link you follow counts as one shot.

Allowed and not allowed

Every highlighted article link in the current article.
Wikipedia search, the address bar, categories, language versions, external links.
Going back to undo a shot. Your path is kept on the server.

Scoring

The number of shots is what counts. Your result is also shown relative to par:

A new hole every day

A new hole appears daily at 08:00 Berlin time (06:00 UTC in summer, 07:00 UTC in winter) and stays the same until the next morning. Server time decides, never your device's time zone. One result per round and browser counts.

The German and the English game are separate: separate holes, separate streaks. You can play both on the same day.

Article texts come from the English Wikipedia and are available under CC BY-SA 4.0 . Every article links back to the original page including its revision, which is also where the list of authors can be found. Images are not shown in the game because their licences would have to be checked individually. WikiGolf is an independent project and is not affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation.
